Welcome to Constellation.
This is a literate/advanced site set in an alternate-reality version of the city of Baltimore, where normal citizens, street rats, and individuals who are drowning in politics and danger all come together. There's a place for everybody in Charm City.
Only the basics and advertising are guest friendly.

Occasionally, because I live nearby, I drop by Baltimore and take pictures and videos with my crappy-sound-quality camera. Also, if I find particularly good ones around the internet, I post zem here. =3

This first one is of the Ampitheater between the two harbour places. The guy in read was the performer-of-the-moment, he told jokes and juggled and stuff of that nature.

A view of the National Aquarium from across the Inner Harbour.

This is kind of like a floating stage/bar thing outside of the Hardrock Cafe. Quite a popular spot when it's open.

A close-up of the stage there, techies setting it up.

A close-up of the bar.

'Baltimore's Beach'. Games, festivals, random hang outs, all happen here. On one side (I'm not sure if you can see it) is the trapeze school, believe it or not. Has a net and everything. Right in front of Federal Hill.

Best Buy & Filene's Basement, standing on the bridge that connects the Hardrock Cafe & all that to the inner harbour. Better view of the river in a second.

The river thing that opens up into the inner harbour. It doesn't really go anywhere in the other direction, just kind of ends. For docking, I suppose. There are three bridges spanning it, I think.

An example of the nicer condos one can buy on the water. Within walking distance of both Federal Hill & Downtown Sailing. Private docks, pool, and cafe.

Intermediate housing. =3 Still costs quite a pretty penny for being on the water, though.

Cherry Hill, right behind (and kinda attached to) Federal Hill. Low standard of living here. Though it has a certain amount of charm in the front, the farther back you go, the more run down it gets.

A view of the bottom half of the Barns & Noble store. Gimme a break on the blurriness, I was moving.

Bookstore Cafe thing.

Constellation. C= The ship this place is named after. It looks a lot better at night when it's all lit up.

The Domino's Sugar factory. It still works, giant barges still come and go from it. Typically people from the Downtown Sailing thing gotta sail past it in order to get farther out into the harbour. ...Anyone notice the hand in the bottom right? Yeah, that's just uh...juttin' on outta there. Baltimore is full of random things. The crab and fish sculptures covered in water, this hand, the sculpture next to 'Believe', the one next to the Museum of Industry/Downtown Sailing, the pineapple. You'll see the pineapple later.

ESPN Zone. To the left of Barns & Noble if one is facing it.

The Examiner building. A newspaper, obviously. We couldn't find the Baltimore Sun one.

A view of the first and lower walkway going around Federal Hill.

The monument Colonel George Armistead. I think this is the guy who sheltered union troops at Federal Hill during the civil war, and in the night pointed canons at the city as a way of ensuring they didn't turn to the confederacy.

This monument (a mast of a ship) is to the right of the beach thing, also visible from Federal Hill.

A view of the Light Street foodcourt from the second level.

The aquarium is the slanted building on the left, the four smokestacks mark Barns & Noble.

Again, a view of the harbour in general.

The giant flag on top of Federal Hill. Believe me, it's bigger in person, and yes I know it only has fifteen stars. We don't know why.

The fishtank in Barns & Noble.

Seating for the cafe in Barns & Noble.

The way out of the inner harbour. Yes, people, that is a pirate ship. It's for kids parties. They squirt water at each other and scream 'ARGHHH!'

These guys are paid to stand outside the Science Center and ride on segways (is that how it's spelled?) all day. For a fee, they'll teach you how to ride them, too, and let you rent one. Typically they're pretty nutty.

The science center itself.

The smokestack that goes through the center of the bookstore. Again, blurry = movement.

The stadium. Note the purple seating for the Ravens.

The second set of steps up to Federal Hill (there are three). These are the second steepest as well.

The swings & playground in the center of Federal Hill.

The view from the balcony of Light Street Harbour Place.

Pretty view. n_n

ESPN Zone - Barns & Noble - Hardrock Cafe.

The dragon & normal paddleboats. xD Hahaha. You can take these out on the harbour.

The motorboats that share the waters with the paddleboats.

This is between the Baltimore World Trade Center & the aquarium and all that. It might be a monument, it might be a marker for the environmental reservation thing that seems to be there...we don't know.

...The pineapple.
On the main highway into and out of the city (695), to the right on top of this building is just uh...a giant pineapple.

The workers at The Fudgery have to sing to attract a crowd. xD After this they make the crowd take an 'oath' that they love fudge and will buy some, they tell jokes (i.e. 'this goes to the united negro fund... -points to other worker- this negro and myself gotta eat.'), and give out free samples. It is hand made, and they sing while they make the fudge.

A performance in the ampitheater between the two harbour places. This happens to be breakdancers. They are not paid, but instead survive off of tips and are given PERMISSION to perform there.
